Moog 2C Cafeteria Addition

After years of “making do” for an employee break area and cafeteria space, an opportunity to formalize a dedicated area for the employees became available.

Space within a precision production facility is often precious and well used. Finding available space for facility support functions is often challenging. Previous studies had identified a location to construct a dedicated employee cafeteria between the existing machine shop area and the road. After a significant office addition was constructed, the location became strategically positioned at the edge of the machine shop area and the offices. Capitalizing on the opportunity, an 8,000 +/- SF cafeteria was created. With an orientation to the north, the cafeteria with a window wall provides great views to the exterior. Suitable for use for large employee meetings, the space can also be subdivided to provide a large conference area, and still simultaneously provide food service. As a cafeteria or break area, it becomes a good location for office and machine shop employees to informally spend time together
