East Aurora Medical Center
Working with an existing run-down house and the foundation of a previous project-type, this project sought to provide a combined scheme of physicians’ offices and ancillary services in a unified complex. The organization of the interior was strongly directed by the requirements of the individual groups and/or equipment.
The design intent was to create a new structure which was sympathetic in architectural spirit to the original structure, and to provide a residential scale and a welcoming atmosphere to the interior spaces and arrangements. The overall site plan recognized the residential character of the neighborhood and attempted to soften it’s visual intrusion.
