PAUL A. ERNST, R.A
Principal, President
Paul A. Ernst, R.A. has been with the firm since its inception in 1985. He became an associate in 1990 and a principal in 1997. Mr. Ernst is a registered architect in the States of New York, Florida, and Michigan, and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB ). Mr. Ernst also serves as the chairman of the Town of Aurora Zoning Board of Appeals. Specialized focus: Health and Adult Care, Religious facilities, Residential, and Professional Offices.
IVAN N. GARCIA, R.A., A.I.A.
Principal
As a project architect, designer and Principal of FFAE Architects, PC, Mr. Garcia offers over 30 years of professional experience in the architectural and planning fields. Active in all facets of the design and building process, Ivan brings a broad range of experience that has allowed him the possibilities to design intricate solutions. Specialized focus: Renovations, additions and new replacements for highly specialized Eldercare Facilities and Industrial facilities.
RAYMOND A. MURPHY , R.A., LEED AP BD+C
Principal
Since joining FFAE in 2001, Raymond Murphy has always taken the initiative to become involved in all phases of his client’s projects including programming, code research, schematic design, design development, construction documentation and construction administration. His dedication has allowed him to gain experience in a broad range of project typologies, including long-term health care facilities, behavioral health, commercial, and residential.
WILLIAM A. HEIDT, R.A.
Senior Associate
In Mr. Heidt's 10 plus years at FFAE, he is particularly recognized for his proficiency in architectural technology with a strong focus in 3d-modeling, animation, sustainable design methods, code interpretation and construction documentation. His expertise includes the design of adult care facilities, single and multi-family residential dwellings, hospitality, professional offices, municipal facilities, and renovation projects.
WAYNE A. FOLTS, R.A.
Principal Emeritus
Wayne brought great experience, which began in 1957, to the firm. He was a partner of FFAE Architects since its inception in 1985. Wayne contributed his skills for evaluation of existing structures for reuse, construction drawings and specifications, and on-site construction monitoring. His skills applied greatly to work in health care facilities and State of New York University Construction Fund projects.
ALVIN T. FONTANESE, R.A.
Principal Emeritus
Alvin began his career in 1956 and began his architectural practice in 1961 which served as the basis for FFAE Architects. He brought great talent for design and evaluation of long-term health care facilities. Alvin was selected to take part in the review and rewrite of Part 713 of the State Health Code applicable to Skilled Nursing Facilities in the early 90’s. He also took part in the community where he lives and served many leadership roles.
DONALD E. AUBRECHT, R.A.
Principal Emeritus
Don has close to 40 years as a principal and leader of this firm, having been with the company since its inception in 1985. His prior experience include 9 years as the Principal of his firm, Donald E. Aubrecht, Architect, and 4 years as a designer with architectural firms in northern New Jersey and Ithaca, New York. Don received his Bachelor in Architecture Degree from Cornell University in 1971.
